This time of year always makes me melancholy; no more Christmas music, talk of taking down the decorations, back to the daily grind at work and reflecting on the past year. Christmas always goes by way too quickly, especially this year since we were away at the beginning of December and I had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit while I was suffering from post vacation/wedding blues. Alexander’s family always celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve but this year his brother had to work so we celebrated on Boxing Day which was a little weird. Christmas was also strange without any snow.
Sometime this week Alexander and I are going to sit down and we are going to make a list of things we want to do in 2012 and set some goals. We have an idea for a trip we want to take but it won’t be until the fall so that gives us plenty of time to research!
