Friday: It was a long long day at work. Even though I had last Monday off after getting in late from Mexico Sunday night I was dead tired all week. I’ve been suffering hard core from post vacation/wedding blues and just couldn’t wait for the weekend to relax and make some sense of our crazy messy house (we just emptied out the suit cases and did laundry and left everything else out and scattered around).
I got home and heated up some leftover spaghetti for dinner while Alexander vacuumed up the living room. Andy and Susan were coming over for drinks and games later on so we made a quick trip to Costco after dinner and cleaning to pick up some nibbles.
Andy tried to make us a drink he concocted a while back but it just didn’t work out. We sat around chatting about the wedding and showed them pictures. I was so tiered I almost fell asleep on the couch while they were talking about condo stuff! Shortly after they left I slept like the dead straight through till Saturday morning.
Saturday: Slept in (bliss!) and cleaned up the spare bedroom (you can actually sort of walk around it without jumping over or moving any of the crap we stuffed in there!). We watched an episode of Person of Interest and I got ready for Alexanders work Christmas party. I curled my hair! It took a while because I used my hair straightener to do it but I actually can’t believe that my hair is long enough to curl!
The Christmas party was all right. It was nice to meet Alexanders co-workers and put a face to the names I’ve heard for years. I was telling him I thought certain people looked different than what I had imagined. His boss made all the food and there was a lot of it! Ham, chicken, fried rice, noodles, quinoa salad, vegetable lasagne. There were desserts galore! After we got home we started watching The Holiday (a Christmas season must watch!) but we only got half way through before we fell asleep.
Sunday: Lazy wonderful day! Slept in again! We ate some breakfast and finished watching The Holiday and then took a nap *grin* We got ready and made a stop at Bed Bath & Beyond for a rolling pin (Christmas Star War cookies here we come!) and after I went over to Mornas house to get copies of her Mexico photos. We only saw a few photos on Ee’s camera she took on the wedding day and we have only the 26 photos we got printed from the resort photographer so it was nice to see more pictures from the wedding day! I can’t wait to see more from everyone else! We ended the evening watching Fast Five and relaxing.
Just 2 more weeks until Christmas! I can’t believe it is right around the corner!
