After sleeping in Alexander and I got up and ready. While getting ready we got a phone call from the wedding coordinator and set up a meeting for 10:30am. We left the room a little before 10am and walked along the pool/beach path to the buffet. Taking the pool/beach path was a much quicker walk than the long outer trek we took the night before with the bell boy. When we got to the buffet most of the people were already there and finishing up eating as they had a meeting with the Air Transat coordinator at 10am to talk about different tour options available. I tried out my new camera on Alexander during breakfast and after eating we slowly made our way to the hotel lobby where we were to meet the wedding coordinator. Over the course of the last year I was in email contact with Claudia but during our time at the resort Gabriel helped us out. On our way downstairs to the wedding coordinators office we met up with Ee who wanted to join us to get more details on what would happen when. Gabriel showed us the reception site and from where I would start walking on the path. Back at her office we just confirmed the details we had discussed through email. It was a quick 30 minute meeting. After the meeting we headed back to our room to get into our swim suits. Along the way we met my parents, Aunt Elaine, Uncle Robert and Cousin Ian at the pool bar so I told them to hold still while I quickly went back to our room to get them a wedding favour (or trinket as I nicknamed them in our budget). We had insulated coffee mugs specially made with our names, wedding date, and our resort on them. That way they will keep your drink colder longer, keep sand out of your drink and you get more drink when you go to the bar. Our goal was to get everyone their cup by the end of the day (which we did!).
Testing out my new camera *grin*
We got eventually got dressed after handing out more mugs and made our way down to the beach.![]()

After hanging out on the beach for a while Morna and I went to hang out with my old Firebag crew at the pool. I sat on a beach chair chatting with Shauna and giving her more information on the whole destination wedding process. Ben and Ryan (aka Bieber) were drinking a lot and acting goofy. My Aunt Jeannie and Cousin Erin and Alexanders Uncle Chris and his fiancée Doreen stopped by to say hi as well. Alexander and Ryan all stopped by on their way to lunch and we were going to follow shortly after but time got away with us. It was around 3pm and Morna had been drinking a lot, same with Ben and Bieber so we decided it was finally time to get some lunch. Somehow we ended up loosing Shauna, Bieber, Jill and Ben so Morna and I ate lunch with my Aunt Jeannie and Cousin Erin.
After lunch Morna wasn’t feeling well so I put her to bed. I went back to the beach to try to find Alexander. I ended back up at the pool where my parents, Uncle Robert, Aunt Elaine, Aunt Jeannie, and Cousin Ian had congregated around watching goofy and goofier (Ben and Beiber) splash about in the pool. ![]()
The older folk soon left and Dan, Lisa, Russel, Ryan and Lisa joined us by the poolside for a bit. ![]()

Ben tried to throw me into the pool with my new camera but didn’t (thank goodness!). He managed to throw Alexander into the pool though, not before Alexander took of his shirt first and declared “I can get in on my own thanks” *grin*
Goofy and goofier were getting crazier and Ben even jumped off the lifeguard tower and Bieber was floating on the lifeguard buoy. The lifeguards started keeping a close watch on them after that! It started to get chilly out so Alexander and I went back to the room were we ended up taking a nap for a bit before dinner. ![]()
We had made dinner reservations the night before for all the Edmonton young folk to have dinner together at the French restaurant. It was a tad chilly but we sat out on the patio so we could all eat at one long table. There was a lot of seafood so I didn’t eat any of the appetizers but the presentation was amazing and everyone kept saying how yummy everything was. I was starting to get a migraine so I just drank chocolate milk. I only took a few bites of my delicious steak before I decided to go because I was just getting worse, not better. You know I’m not feeling well when I don’t stick around for dessert! (I had ordered Crème Brule that Morna finished for me). I got back to the room and was feel out of it
Such concentration eating the escargot!
The French Onion Soup and the Salmon
My yummy yummy steak (even though I wasn’t feeling well) and Lisa L’s Surf & Turf
