Friday: I met up for lunch with Pam at BP’s (it was nice to get out of the office for a bit!). The afternoon went by excruciatingly slow and I ended up sneaking out 15 minutes early. Alexander had an early start to the day (he had a meeting in Airdrie at 9am!) so when I got home he was napping so I joined him for an hour. He left for his man-date with Darcy to go see Rise of the Apes (how do they procreate so quickly to take over the world?!?!?!?). I had big plans for spending the evening scrapbooking away, I even printed lots of pictures earlier on in the week, but alas I just didn’t feel like it. I ended up spending the evening surfing the web and watching TV and going to bed early.
Saturday: We were going to check out the downtown farmers market but decided against it because we already had lots of fruits and veggies we needed to eat. I had a parcel delivered to my parents’ house I needed to pick up so we headed over there for a bit and hung out in the glorious air conditioning. After we stopped by our friend/travel agent to see how things were going. Then it was off to Coney Island night at Darcys!!!!! Deep fried pickles, mozza sticks, chicken wings and homemade French fries with all the fixings. And to top off the evening deep friend candy bars and ice cream!!!!! It was SO good but SO bad!
Sunday: We headed briefly over to The Fringe to check things out. It was crazy crowded and hot and when I could feel the sweat rolling down my back it was time to leave. We just chilled at home the rest of the evening.
We do need to start having more plans ahead of time of what we want to do on weekends because we usually end up lazing around the house in the morning watching TV and whatnot and it is early afternoon by the time we venture to do anything. While I like sleeping in and relaxing sometimes we waste a good chunk of the day deciding what to do.
