So…..

The parents have been told so I can finally let the cat out of the bag. I figured it deserved its own post before getting lost in the gaggle of posts about Disney World. On Wednesday, September 28 Alexander proposed to me! Ekk! I’m engaged! Is still feels weird to say to be honest. I had been bugging A for a while now that we have been together for over 2 years and living together for coming up 2 years and that I wasn’t going to wait 10 years like his brothers girlfriend and he should pretty much know by now what he felt.

A had said before he would propose to me while riding on Splash Mountain but I just laughed at that. He of course didn’t end up doing it on Splash Mountain but beside the castle. We were finishing up our night at the Magic Kingdom Halloween Party where he pulled me off to the side to sit on a bench next to the castle. At first I didn’t think anything of it because we have done stuff like that in the past (and my feet were killing me so they were happy not to keep walking anymore). But then he started talking about how long we had been together etc and he seemed a little nervous. Then he popped the question. I don’t remember saying it but A says I said “Are you kidding me” or something like that when he asked me. I of course said yes. He asked if I wanted him to go on one knee but I said no. He had a “fake” ring (AKA costume jewellery ring until I/we find a real ring I want) but it didn’t fit. When we got back to the city he got a different sized ring to fit me. We waited for last weekend to tell the family so that I actually had a ring on/to show. You should have seen As moms face when he told her yesterday while we were out having ice cream. He was chatting about our trip and was like “we went on this ride, we saw this, AND I proposed to Veronica”. Her face was blank for a moment and then she asked if he was joking. *grin*

So far all we know is we want a destination wedding. What destination? Don’t know yet. Hawaii and Mexico were tossed out. When? We will decide that once we have a destination. What I do know is I want a bouquet like the ones Princess Lasertron makes. No idea what colour and I’m going to try to be crafty and make it myself (once I figure out how to).
